Can Heavy Metal music draw young people to the Lord?
More important, is it pleasing to the Lord?
Some argue it is - because it's drawing young people together to hear the word, and that is paramount.
Others argue that unless hearts are involved in worship, God rejects it.
And still others say that music created to please man's ears rather than God's does more damage than good because it encourages the lust and self-centeredness typical of the world. It essentially says to kids that life really IS all about what makes them feel good.
Fun is good - but what kids need to know is that when it distracts from the Lord to the point that it gets in the way, there's a problem.
